My brother and I recently launched a website for my Spencer family relatives. It is free, includes 10 MB of storage space(plus an additional 10 MB for each additional 10 active users) and was setup within minutes just by filling in a few forms. By the next day, we had entered all the Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins so the birthday calendar was completely up to date.  It includes sections for calendar, news, photo, family history, and reviews.

Only invited members have access, but for your edification, you can take a peek at our handiwork using our Guest ID .. ccspencerguest .. password = guest at www.myfamily.com .. the great thing about a site like this is the ability for active members to post pictures, news, and calendar items directly to the family site for all other members and guests to view. It even understands GEDCOM format genealogical files (created by most family history programs like PAF, etc) and processes them directly into online HTML family trees.

The required advertisments at the top of each page are reasonable size and often useful and interesting. There is also a corresponding EZine and Shopping area. A small price to pay for access to this product.
