We sometime have problems like any other service provider however the additional features that you have on your system hence the double beeping will also create problems for the modem when dialing. However, in regards to the freezing up of your system we are in the process of rectifying that problem. 

We are aware of this problem, and apparently it is only happening to certain individual system.  A few customers in regards to this problem have informed us about their system freezing up, and unfortunately at this point we can only advise you that you go back to our older version 1.4.10. You will however need to change your phone book setting please see the attachment to update your phone book and follow the instructions carefully.

Have been reviewing your product for recommendation to my clients, but have run into a few snags. Hope you can shed some light. We have been testing on a range of systems from 486-100 Win95B 20M system up to Pentium-233 Win98SE 128M system.

  1. Funcow.com usually locks up if any other programs are already running on task bar. After clicking on Connect, nothing happens, so I have to CTRL-ALT-DEL to End Task on 'FunCow.Com (not responding)', shut down all other running programs. Only then will FunCow.Com continue on, creating the advert bar and dialing out.
  2. Created accounts one week ago, since last Thursday the connection dials out but never connects. We are trying to access the Lethbridge, Alberta number. I presume it is having difficulties, as none of the test machines have been able to connect for several days.
  3. Annoyance: On our phones, we have telco answering service that changes the dial tone to double beep when  messages are waiting. The 'wait for dial tone' has to be turned off, because when a message is waiting the modem won't dial out even though it is just the double beep message waiting dial tone. Problem: I see no way to disable the 'wait for dial tone' feature in your dialer. Note: This is a problem regardless of the setting in the advanced modem panel for my modems.
  4. We are testing using the ad supported version. I presume that the annual no-ad paid version suffers from the same connection problems.
